NORTHFORCE is pleased to announce the hiring of Desiree Yourczek as its new Greater Northeast Minnesota Strategy & Development Consultant. Based on Minnesota’s Iron Range, the position is dedicated to strengthening connections between businesses and jobseekers in the 10-county NORTHFORCE region.
Desiree grew up on the Iron Range and graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth. For the past seven-plus years she has worked in digital marketing agencies, coordinating closely with local tourism organizations to promote the region. She co-founded ReGen, the Iron Range-based nonprofit dedicated to connecting people and building a vibrant Iron Range through events and networking activities.
“I am excited and honored to be joining the NORTHFORCE team,” shares Desiree. “The work they do is so important to the workforce and employers in the region, especially for the Iron Range. The team is spectacular and I am excited to start contributing to the NORTHFORCE mission in Greater Northeast Minnesota.”
Desiree joins Krissy Johnson, who currently serves on the NORTHFORCE team as the Twin Ports Strategy & Development Consultant. Stephanie Skraba, NORTHFORCE’s first Greater Northeast Minnesota Development Consultant, joined the City of Chisholm this September as Economic Development Coordinator.
“We are thrilled for Stephanie and look forward to continuing to work with her in her new capacity with the City of Chisholm,” said Elissa Hansen, President & CEO of Northspan, which powers NORTHFORCE. “We are so grateful to Stephanie for the tremendous work she did in helping to shape this role on our team. The position has proven crucial for connecting the NORTHFORCE Talent Community on the Iron Range. We look forward to continuing this great work with Desiree.”
