Grants aimed at supporting apprenticeship programs throughout the Northland are now available through the Minnesota Apprenticeship Initiative (MAI). Applications will be accepted through June 14.
Accepted applicants can receive up to $5,000 for each registered apprenticeship. Funds can be used to offset costs related to program development, instruction, and supplies.
MAI’s focus is on five industries identified as especially high-growth and in need of employees now and in the future. These include Advanced Manufacturing, Agriculture, Health Care, Information & Technology, and Transportation.
Interested employers can visit the Minnesota Apprenticeship Initiative page on the Labor and Industry website to review requirements and submit their grant application by June 14.
There will also be a free webinar session on June 7 with more information about this grant opportunity and how to apply. Click here for a link to the session.
