Advanced Minnesota received an IRRRB workforce development grant last year to provide a variety of Lean Six Sigma training opportunities for regional businesses and organizations.
Employees from MDI and Fairview Range recently completed the first Open Enrollment Six Sigma Green Belt Program. This training utilizes the DMAIC Methodology of Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control to facilitate Lean Six Sigma concepts, along with foundational statistics and leadership and team training to complete the program.
The next cohort for this training will run from Feb. 2 to May 31, 2017, at Advanced Minnesota located at Hibbing Community College. The 66-hour, project-based course features an interactive learning environment. Grant funding is available.
